Upon entering the property, you will find an open-plan dining and living room area. The living space has a corner suite sofa facing the LCD TV and decorative fireplace, for those relaxing evenings in. Taking a step up into the large modern kitchen, you will find all you will need to make yourself at home such as the double electric oven, washing machine and dishwasher. Moving upstairs, the two bedrooms are both decent in size, with each having ample storage with a wardrobe and drawer space. Wake up to picturesque views of the Pwllheli marina from the king-size double bed in the first bedroom, or the double bed in the second bedroom, as both rooms face towards the sea. The stylish bathroom has a bath with shower over, so you can choose to take a little extra time for yourself to relax on your holiday to soak in the tub - it also has a toilet and basin. The front patio area of the property also has outdoor furniture so providing the weather is on your side, you will have more than enough outdoor space to wind down in with views of the marina. Pwllheli has everything you need for a fantastic break with an abundance of bars, restaurants and independent cafés and shops nearby. Whether it’s walking along the coast or exploring the neighbouring towns, Pwllheli is a great location to base yourself. A popular attraction is Glasfryn Parc Activity Centre, where you can take part in over 11 indoor and outdoor activities, such as go-karting, water sports, and even crazy golf. A 10-minute drive will take you to the neighbouring town of Criccieth. Here you can find Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm which is delightful day out for the family where children are allowed to handle a selection of lovely animals under adult supervision or hand-feed the alpacas! There is also a medieval castle and two sandy beaches. Awel Y Mor promises a great opportunity to make those special memories with your loved ones.

This busy market town is the unofficial capital of the Llyn Peninsula which is one of the most scenic regions of Wales, renowned for its outstanding scenery, stunning coastal walks, excellent beaches and golf courses. This traditional seaside town offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and an impressive marina holding 400 boats. The town boasts two beaches, one with the Blue Flag Award and is renowned for its sailing and watersports. Close by are Criccieth, with its medieval castle, and popular Abersoch, a pretty harbour town also renowned for its wonderful beaches and watersports facilities. Much of the peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a lot of the coastline is owned by the National Trust providing many remote bays, sandy beaches and exciting clifftop walks, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island. I found closing the gate awkward, latch was tricky. The host left bottle of bubbly and Welsh cakes and pint of milk which was lovely, but only 2 tea bags for a cottage that sleeps 4 a bit puzzling. All in all lovely place

. Pwllheli’s better 3½ mile long Abererch beach is even closer.. Well-furnished to a high, modern standard throughout, it has all the amenities required for a holiday home away from home.. The large bath was a real boon each day after walking sections of the Wales Coast Path. A cup of tea in the generously sized mugs helped too.. Cosy seating area, very large dining table & very comfortable bed – I had no problems falling quickly asleep.. I am 6’ 2” but with a little care, had no issues with two the low headroom openings.. Any queries are responded to promptly & in a friendly manner.. Pwllheli is a great base for using public transport to explore the Llŷn Peninsula and beyond and if I return to Pwllheli, I would not hesitate to check the availability of Awel y Môr.

It is on a busy road with a noisy road surface, but it didn't bother us. Plenty of parking. Pleasant ten minute walk into the town along the waterfront.
