You won't have to go far to find a host of things to do in Criccieth, starting with the beautiful beaches, both home to shingle and sand, and backed by a promenade which you can walk along. Discover the local history of Criccieth by heading to Criccieth Castle, resting proudly atop the headland, and where you can enjoy wondrous views of the town, sea and Cardigan Bay coastline. For a special occasion with your other half, head to the popular Art Deco seaside restaurant, Dylan's, where fresh seafood is something of a specialty on their menu. There are also many more options in the town to suit all tastes. Visit the sailing capital of North Wales, the town of Pwllheli, home to an amazing marina and host to several sailing regattas throughout the year, along with an excellent golf course too. It is well worth a visit. The Snowdonia National Park is nearby too, so why not organise a trip up Snowdon to experience some spectacular scenery, as well as, a visit to the fantastic visitor centre at the summit. The town of Porthmadog also has plenty to see and do, with the charming Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways taking you on a vintage steam train along miles of narrow gauge tracks through some stunning countryside, as well as, the Maritime Museum, Black Rock Llamas and Porthmadog Harbour.
