Tyn Y Maen is a welcoming, comfortable property with a large garden, and benefits from an outdoor utility which has an additional shower and storage for bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace with cosy log burner, and doors leading out onto the large garden area. There are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, along with a well-equipped kitchen/dining area.
Caernarfon, with its magnificent castle and a fine selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, is just 15 minutes drive away, and is also the start of the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of Snowdonia. The popular beaches of Dinas Dinlle and Llanfairfechan are only 20 minutes’ drive away. Tyn Y Maen is a perfect location for relaxing winter escapes and summer beach holidays.

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage.The location and views are stunning and the pictures dont do justice with regards to the lovely big garden which is fully enclosed for dogs.The cottage was clean and well kept and was great value for money.It had everything needed and all of the beds were really comfortable so had a great night's sleep.Would definitely book this cottage again.

On the plus side this cottage is in an amazing area close to beaches and plenty to do within 20 to 30 minutes. On the minus side it needs a total revamp it's very old fashioned and needs a thorough deep clean. Daughter took her clothes off the shelf in the bedroom to pack to come home and they were covered in dust, the bedroom lampshade is filthy and rusty, the kitchen is poorly equipped only three tumblers for supposedly 6 people and no wooden spoons or food turners etc, it is a struggle to lock the back door too. Lovely to see the horses in the field next door and this could be such a nice place, even the garden is full of weeds and untidy you sit at the garden table with grass growing between your feet. Such a shame because we loved the area and would come back in a heartbeat if only the place was cleaner

This was our second visit to Tyn y Maen if you like peace and quiet this is the place to go . It is clean well laid out and as I have difficulty in walking there is only one small step into the kitchen and it’s no problem even I would think for wheel chair if needed plenty of games etc for wet days if you can’t get out . The lane is narrow to get to the property but take your time it’s not a problem there are a lot of tourist places to visit within reasonable distance great place kept tidy we will be going again soon
