About this property

This charming, mid-terrace cottage sits within the village of Talysarn, just on the outskirts of the Snowdonia National Park. Well-presented over two floors, Ty Tarth is an ideal base for a family of four and their canine companions, providing access to the beautiful scenery of North Wales. Wonderfully furnished throughout, take a step inside and get comfortable within the open-plan living space, curling up beside the inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove as you catch up on your favourite TV shows. The drop-leaf dining table provides the space for all the family to sit together and enjoy mealtimes whilst the kitchen houses all the essentials for a week away, plus there’s even a washer/dryer for your laundry needs. Upstairs plays host to the bedrooms, including a double and a bunk room, each with neutral furnishings. Completing the interior is the bathroom, where you can start the morning with a lazy soak or quick shower with the handheld attachment before heading out and getting to know your surroundings. Ty Tarth is positioned close to the Dorothea Quarry, providing some superb walks and hidden lakes deep within, plus there is the stunning Llyn Nantlle Uchaf and Nantlle Valley worth exploring too. Hop in the car and head north to Caernarfon, home to a medieval castle and several quirky shops and restaurants, whilst Llanberis, the starting point for several routes up to Snowdon, is within easy reach. Head to the picturesque Isle of Anglesey and explore its beautiful landscapes and structures, including the Menai Strait, Penmon Point and Traeth Benllech, all just a scenic drive away. After exploring the wonders of North Wales, return to Ty Tarth and while away the hours with your loved ones.

Talysarn is one of the several little communities that were created towards the end of the 18th century as a result of the slate mining industry's explosive expansion throughout the scenic Nantlle Valley. Nowadays, this is the ideal site to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities such as climbing, walking, mountain biking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, and golf. It is well positioned between Caernarfon Bay to the west and the stunning Snowdonia National Park to the east. Explore the 13th-century castle-filled mediaeval town of Caernarfon, the Glynllifon Country Park, the lovely sandy beaches of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, and the breathtaking mountain landscape of Snowdonia.
