There’s an open plan lounge/kitchen area with log burner and doors leading out to a conservatory area; a fabulous spot to take in the views.
Both bedrooms have doors leading outside to the enclosed garden area. There is also a covered outside seating area which is a lovely cosy spot to enjoy the sunsets and to chat about the day’s adventures.
You are really in the heart of all the Llyn Peninsula has to offer. There’s lakes, coastal paths, fishing, bike trails, Snowdonia National Park and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Not to mention the beach a few minutes walk away. There are many beaches to explore in the area and you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just down the road you’ll find the blue flag Dinas Dinlle beach, with wonderful views across the bay to Anglesey.
Porthdinllaen is also nearby home to the famous Ty Coch Inn once voted in the top ten best beach bars in the world! Caernarfon Castle is only a short drive away; an imposing unesco World Heritage site. You are within easy reach of, Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s also Glasfryn park with many activities to be found here, with go-karting, archery, crazy golf, and many water sports to name a few. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember and without a doubt you’ll want to return.

The cottage is in a fantastic location right on the beach and is an ideal base for visiting other towns around Wales as everywhere is easy to get to.Inside it's a little dated and not the cleanest. When stripping the bed on leaving we were horrified to find a large yellow stain on the mattress that looked like urine. Also lots of dust on towel radiators & marks on walls.A major downside for us was no WiFi in the cottage, when it is advertised as having WiFi! You can go into the barn onside and log onto their WiFi but it's very slow & freezing cold if the weather is not good. Probably would return but only if WiFi is installed in the cottage & some cleaning & updating done.

We spent a wonderful week at The Mill cottage at Bach Wen, a truly peaceful and charming retreat. The cottage was full of character, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Each day was slow and easy, with beautiful sunsets painting the sky in soft golds and pinks. We ordered delicious local food from the Rainbow Eats team, which was delivered and served onsite on the Friday night, and enjoyed it either inside or out in the fresh sea air. It was the perfect place to switch off, unwind, and just enjoy the quiet beauty of the coast.
