Lily Cottage receives glowing praise for its immaculate cleanliness, warm and welcoming host, and peaceful, beautifully maintained surroundings. Guests consistently highlight its excellent location for exploring North Wales, Anglesey, and Snowdonia, as well as the comfort and well-equipped nature of the cottage. The grounds and communal areas are well kept, and thoughtful touches from the owner are frequently mentioned. While a few minor issues such as limited storage and occasional Wi-Fi problems are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a highly recommended choice for couples, families, and groups.
Cleanliness is repeatedly praised, with guests describing the cottage as spotless, very clean, and well maintained. Several reviews specifically mention reassurance regarding Covid guidelines and the immaculate condition of both the property and its grounds.
The location is highly rated for its convenience to North Wales attractions, Snowdonia, Anglesey, and Caernarfon. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and easy access to both coast and mountains, though one review notes the need to drive due to a busy lane.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the accommodation, including comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. A few minor comments about limited storage and a worn settee are noted, but overall comfort is rated very highly.
Facilities are well regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, games room, and good Wi-Fi (though one review notes occasional unreliability). Some guests mention a lack of drying facilities and limited storage, but these are outweighed by positive feedback.
Many guests mention the owner's warm welcome, helpfulness, and extra touches such as personal gifts and treats. While these thoughtful gestures are appreciated, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
Superb terraced barn conversion, offering cosy and welcoming accommodation in a wonderful location. Handmade kitchen, bedroom with en-suite and rear patio. Ideal romantic retreat. Note: This property sits on the same site as Refs. 918056, 2952, 2953, 4453 and 5741, together they sleep 25.
Caernarfon has many visitor attractions, including a magnificent 13th Century castle, which hosts regular historic pageants and guided tours; well-preserved original town walls, and an appealing waterfront area. Trains that run on the Welsh Highland Railway can be caught in Caernarfon for a ride through some wild and dramatic North Wales scenery. There is also a good selection of shops and eateries in the town. Caeathro is excellently situated for touring the mountains and other attractions of Snowdonia; the gorgeous beaches of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula, and superb climbing, walking, mountain biking and water sports opportunities.

All furnishings are of good quality, would highly recommend this place. Also a good quiet location, in easy reach of the coast or mountains.

The decor in the cottage was tasteful. The cottage provided enough equipment for our needs, the free use of the communal washing machine was appreciated. The cottage was as described but a bit snug for our taste. A few more drawers for clothes would have been useful. Having said that, we would book again because it was in a great location for exploring North Wales. Being part of a small complex, it would be ideal for family get togethers.

It was a great base to be about to hike the mountains and short drives to the mountain paths. would highly recommend to anyone. We will be back when we next want to visit north wales. Also Rhian the owner was super friendly and very helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay xx
