This is an excellent base for walking, climbing, watersports, fishing off the coast of Anglesey, Caernarfon with its 13th century castle, magnificent Snowdon, and the NT houses and gardens dotted through the area. A high-quality cottage, and an ideal holiday destination at any time of year.

With so much historic and cultural importance in North Wales, Caernarfon, the county town of Gwynedd, is a popular tourist spot. With an impressive 13th century castle and well preserved town walls, this is a wonderful location for history enthusiasts. During the summer season the castle runs guided tours and special events including historic pageants. Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, is home to various important finds and makes an interesting day out. Visitors can also enjoy a trip on the Welsh Highland Railway which passes through the area's dramatic scenery, or why not arrange a fishing trip from the local harbour? With a wide selection of shops and places to eat, Caernarfon also offers close proximity to the lovely beaches of the Isle of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula.
