Glanrafon Isaf is a spacious and rustic barn conversion ideal for large groups, offering a peaceful countryside setting with field views. It's well-located for exploring North Wales and Caernarfon. Guests have appreciated the ample space, warm atmosphere, and the welcome gifts upon arrival.

Cleanliness has been a recurring concern among guests, with several noting the presence of cobwebs, dirt, and a lack of deep cleaning. However, some guests found it to be tidy and acceptable.

The property is praised for its beautiful rural Welsh setting and proximity to local amenities and attractions. Some guests noted road noise, but it was not generally found to be disturbing.

The property is described as warm with huge couches and sufficient beds for a large group, providing a comfortable stay. However, some guests were disturbed by noise from wildlife and the nearby road.

Facilities are modern and smart, with a new dishwasher and other appliances. However, there are reports of maintenance issues such as broken washing machine dials and overgrown driveways. The property could benefit from better upkeep.

Guests have mentioned welcome gifts such as wine, logs, and biscuits, which add a thoughtful touch. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be provided on every occasion.

We had a lovely stay, the barn is huge and is in a lovely, quiet, peaceful setting. There’s a log burner huge couches for everyone to sit together. We were a party of 12 and there was enough space for us all, with 2 kids. The place was lovely and warm and the owner had provided wine, logs and biscuits on arrival. Value for money I’d recommend, it’s not the ritz could do with a small spruce up. But if you want a great place to stay for a large group in a beautiful part of wales I would thoroughly recommend. Close to amenities but far enough away to enjoy the countryside.

Size wise this is a really good property, however it does need a good clean, deep clean, there were cobwebs and dirt throughout the cottage.

We had a wonderful holiday in North Wales. As for the accommodation...The positives:It is large with lots of useful rooms and sufficient beds for everyone. There are beautiful field views. There is double glazing and the house was warm. The dishwasher was brand new and the microwave, fridge-freezer and other kitchen appliances were modern and smart. It is well located for Caernarfon and lots of the best bits of North Wales. The negatives:The cleanliness was really not good. I had thought that, after seeing so many negative reviews about this, that the owners might have done something. The tops of surfaces had been wiped down, but there was rubbish on the decking, dirty tissues under the beds, filthy windows, all manner of grime under the edges of anything, black mould in the showers etc. The washing machine dial was broken, there was rubbish and diy waste in the utility room cupboards etc. There was a wheely bin overflowing with stinking rubbish bags by the front door of the annexe.Other negatives:There isn't a dining table big enough for everyone to sit together. The cutlery is very limited - there were only 4 teaspoons for example - and glasses, crockery etc were also not abundant. The annexe smelled slightly of damp - I would anticipate that this is much worse in the winter time. There were squirrels living in the loft of the annexe which were very noisy at night, keeping us awake. We informed rhe owner, who to his credit responded very quickly, but this meant that we had to provide access to a council pest-controller every day for half of our stay. The nearby main road is noisy, meaning that sitting outside on the decking didn't have the idyllic feel we would ideally have liked. All in all, we had a great holiday, but I wouldn't rush to book this accommodation again. I do not feel it was good value for money.
