The front windows were filthy and the entrance porch smelt very strongly of damp. All the radiators needed bleeding, there was only a small portion of them that got warm. Also the sink in the kitchen didn't drain very well and the drain in the bath was dreadful, when having a shower we were stood ankle deep in water. And the duvet cover on the double bed had very few buttons left on it. Overall there was a general un-loved feeling about the cottage.

Very clean and cosy with a lot of much-needed amenities available. Parking was great just outside the house. The cooker and grill were a nightmare to deal with though compared to electric cookers and grills in our other trips in other areas in the country. This meant our cooking did not turn out well so we kept ordering out and eating out. Tongs were missing. Toaster was the best we’ve ever used. It would be nice to use a different scent to the house. The lock in the bathroom was terrible and it was difficult to unlock at times - it needs to be changed. Also, the house was very creaky making a lot of noise upstairs. The chalkboard wall was a fantastic idea. The extra lightbulb was handy. Showerhead was the best we’ve ever used. A very nice experience but cooker needs to be sorted - not for everyone. All amenities should be listed as we brought a few things which we didn’t need to. Thank you very much.

The heating did make a few odd sounds at random times.
