Caernarfon 3.7 miles. Located within the Glan Gwna Holiday Park which is made up of 120-acres of landscaped grounds with the lovely River Seiont flowing through it, Daron Lodge is a great choice for a peaceful, but entertaining, family break to North Wales. Situated just outside of Caernarfon in the village of Caeathro, you are perfectly located for enjoying the Snowdonia National Park, the historic town of Caernarfon and the Llyn Peninsula. Park up in you off-road parking space and head down the steps to enter into the open-plan living space, receiving light from the patio doors it is a bright and pleasantly decorated environment to relax in during your down time. Settle down on the plush sofas whilst you watch a DVD on the TV on a quiet evening, or gather at the dining table to discuss what your plans for the rest of your stay will be. When you're not delighting in delicious meals and drinks from the on-site restaurant and bar, you can rustle up some tasty dishes within the neatly-finished kitchen space, equipped with the essentials in the form of a small fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, and microwave. Sit out on the decking in the morning with a coffee while you wake up, with views and glimpses of the site's lake visible from your private spot. At night find a nice spot to rest in one of the two bedrooms, with a double bedroom and a bunk room, the latter being ideal for children. Completing the interior is the bathroom holding a bath with a shower over, providing a great way to either quickly freshen up, or take a few peaceful moments for a long soak. Enjoy a splash in the outdoor pool on a summer day, or watch as the children run around the play area with climbing frames and swings. Anglers can expect to see carp, trout, and salmon fishing within the coarse lake on the park, as well as having access to a second private fishing lake at nearby Pentir aimed at more expert anglers. Head into the historic town of Caernarfon to visit the imposing Caernarfon Castle which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, dating from late 13th century, it rest overlooking the River Seiont. The Snowdonia village of Llanberis is within easy reach and is host to a great selection of attractions, with the Snowdonia Mountain Railway able to take you up to the summit for some incredible and far-reaching views of the landscape. Down on the Llyn Peninsula you can expect to find some amazing beaches at Pwllheli and Abersoch, perfect for a sunny summer day with a range of quaint shops and local boutiques to browse. Daron Lodge is a wonderful family base for a North Wales adventure.

Caernarfon is a the historic county town of Gwynedd in North Wales, where the River Seiont meets the Menai Strait. The impressive World Heritage 13th century Caernarfon Castle still stands overlooking the river and is a must-see when you're exploring this lovely town, along with a picturesque harbour and a collection of fabulous eateries, bars and pubs. Head into the heart of the Snowdonia National Park which is an easy car journey away, for endless magnificent scenery and a wealth of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Note: There are around 20 steps going down from the road to the lodges which are quite steep.
