Guests say

Blue Cottage offers a truly peaceful and idyllic retreat, perfect for those seeking to disconnect and enjoy stunning sea views, sunsets, and direct access to the coastal path. Guests appreciate the old-fashioned charm, cosy log burner, and tranquil setting, with many highlighting the lack of modern distractions as a positive. While the cottage is comfortable and well-situated for walks and exploring the Lleyn peninsula, some guests noted that cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Overall, it is a charming and restful base for a digital detox and nature-filled getaway.

Several guests found the cottage generally clean, especially bedding and towels, but there were repeated mentions of poor general cleanliness, particularly in the kitchen and with kitchen items. Some felt the property could benefit from a deeper clean and more attention to detail.

The location is widely praised as idyllic, peaceful, and perfect for coastal walks, with beautiful sea views, sunsets, and direct access to the beach and coastal path. Guests consistently highlight the setting as a major positive.

Guests found the cottage cosy, especially with the log burner, and the beds were described as super comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere and old-fashioned charm contributed to a restful stay, though some noted the stairs could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Facilities are basic but functional, with a modernised bathroom and effective electric meter. The lack of TV, WiFi, and mobile signal is seen as a positive by most. Some guests mentioned maintenance issues, such as windows needing repair and the need for general TLC, and found the coin-operated electricity meter a minor inconvenience.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Blue Cottage is wonderful. The views cannot be beaten, and the condition and decoration are lovely. The electric meter works well. A pound coin gives several hours of electricity in the summer. It is also clean and comfortable, as long as you don't mind having to go downstairs for the toilets (the bedrooms are upstairs). Overall, a great place and right on the coastal hiking path.

Beautiful little old cottage which made us feel we'd stepped back in time. The lack of television and WiFi were a real plus for us. Sitting watching the sea washed away all the minor stresses and strains of everyday life. Fantastic base to explore the beauty of the Lleyn peninsula with great walks from the door.
