Explore the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (1.5 miles) and follow the hiking trails through wooded valleys, along rivers and up to the Moel Famau mountain peak (10 miles). Cross the border into northwest England for a worthwhile trip to the historic city of Chester (24 miles) with Tudor-style timber buildings, a Roman amphitheatre and a zoo. Also within reach are the sandy shores of Prestatyn Beach (10 miles).
