Sadly the weather was dreadful with almost constant rain due to the storms. However it was lovely to come back to the cottage which was warm and cosy. Facility wise we had everything we needed. The little touches by Jo and Alun, welcome, mid stay and departure texts and knowing they were available should we need anything (we didn't) just added to the experience. Thank you both for an enjoyable time.

The parking is an issue but, it didn't spoil my stay.

The weather was far too hot for us and our dog but the cottage (with its thick walls) was always very cool - maybe thicker curtains in the bedrooms would be a good idea though. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the owners kindly gave us some eggs from their chickens (delicious). We were just behind the village pub (spent a very enjoyable evening there, good food and excellent beers). The only time we were disturbed by noises was on the Friday night when the wheelie bins were rolled out passed our bedroom window - apart from the that we slept very well. Unfortunately our dog was sick on the rug on the first night but Jan came over with her steamer and was very understanding about it all. Parking was ok, always plenty of space to park outside the pub (not far from the cottage). Ysceifiog is a charming little village, very peaceful, locals were all friendly and chatty - all in all a very enjoyable holiday.
