About this property

Set in the heart of Ruthin, a bustling Denbighshire town is Rhos Street Retreat, a well-positioned, one-bedroom cottage. Within walking distance to a hub of amenities and attractions, whilst nestled near the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rhos Street Retreat provides a contemporary base for a couple or a small family, accommodating up to four guests in total. Benefit from off-road parking to the rear, before heading through the front and into the open-plan living space. Be welcomed by a contemporary space with a plush corner sofa bed, a wall-mounted Smart TV, and plenty of DVDs to entertain the family, along with a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, ideal for a self-catered stay. Continue outdoors to be greeted by the private hot tub, where you can soak the night away, before dining alfresco upon the lawned area, within the fully enclosed garden. As the sun sets, catch some rest from the king-size bedroom, or arrange the sofa bed for the children of your group, before awakening to a refreshing shower in the bathroom. On your doorstep you will find a host of shops, eateries, and pubs to take advantage of, along with the Ruthin Gaol Museum - Amgueddfa Carchar Rhuthun and the Ruthin Craft Centre, both recommended to tour, before a lovely stroll alongside River Clwyd. Outdoor enthusiasts will relish in the chance to visit the Loggerheads Country Park, where you can enjoy a lunchtime picnic before traversing the Welsh countryside. Llangollen is within reach, a lovely town brimming with independent shops and cafés, where you can board a barge and follow the River Dee, leading towards the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the perfect vantage point across the county. From your abode, reach the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, Chester, and Bala, all must-visits for a jam-packed itinerary. Experience the best of Denbighshire at Rhos Street Retreat.

The hilltop town of Ruthin lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. The town is picturesque with attractive half-timbered buildings, mainly clustered around St Peter’s Square. There are many interesting shops and buildings, whilst the Nant Clwyd House (the oldest timber frame in Wales), Ruthin Gaol and Ruthin Craft Centre, which houses work by internationally recognised artists and craftspeople, are also worth a visit. Beautiful countryside is on Ruthin’s doorstep with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park and Clocaenog Forest close by. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are the coast, Snowdonia National Park and historic Chester.

I had a couple of issues with the property such as setting the shower temp and using the DVD and Gareth was extremely helpful and responsive. Being winter and wearing heavy coats I would really have appreciated a coat hook downstairs. And a few more cooking utensils including plastic jug and colander. But a lovely stay and convenient property - we visited lots of places nearby.

Great location for walks from the doorstep or short drives for the hills & forests & reservoirs of the area.

We all enjoyed our stay. Area was lovely lots to do . If you have a car travelling out each day site seein was great. Just a couple of things to consider . Cups and plates chipped could be renewed . No bottom cover for downstairs couch .no tin opener. But everything else was amazing we would definitely come again. Do you have other cottages with hot tub. 2 bedroom preffered. In Wales or other places thankyou for our lovely stay.
