Quite basic but not in any bad way at all just really lovely. We loved the log burner on the chilly, damp evenings. The cottage was great for 2 of us and dog but not for 4 in my opinion. The shower was nice and hot and powerful too. Lots of hot water for washing up etc. perhaps a bit more crockery needed. There was a lovely garden to the side of the cottage with a table, chairs and bbq and great views. Could do with an outside light over the back garden door. Chris the owner is a great guy and willing to stop and chat if you wish. Just 2 negatives in that most dogs do not like cats and there were 5 cats around the place so not entirely dog friendly. My other gripe is the 4:30 entry time which is far too late especially in autumn and winter when it is dark early! If Sykes cannot get it cleaned by 3pm then they need to employ more cleaners for the cottages in their care!!

plenty of walks around the cottage . The owners were kind and helpful and provided us with a welcome pack . When we arrived on Saturday, we had a power cut for about 7hrs but the owners provided us with candles and tourch . The log burner was good and kept us warm . Overall we enjoyed our holiday . Thanks
