About this property

Enjoying breath-taking views of Rhuddlan Castle and a short walk away from River Clwyd in Denbighshire is Riverdale, a charming, two-bedroom abode. Just paces away from a hub of amenities, whilst within driving distance to the North Wales coastline, Riverdale offers a characterful home for a group getaway, inviting four guests and two furry companions. Park up off-road or to the roadside, before entering the home, starting your break in the homely sitting room, adorned with beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, a rustling woodburning stove, and a Smart TV for entertainment. Continue through to the dining room, where you can gather as a group and set the table, whilst the chef of your party takes advantage of the well-equipped kitchen and neighbouring utility. To soak up your surroundings some more, opt for an alfresco affair in the rear garden, both private and enclosed, ideal for your pets to stroll and play. When sleep calls, select between a characterful double and a lovely twin, before awakening to a refresh in the sleek ground-floor bathroom. Start your morning off with a hike through Rhuddlan Nature Reserve, or even a round of golf at Rhuddlan Golf Club, before heading into the village to stock up on the essentials and dine out at the Castle Inn Rhuddlan; Bodrhyddan Hall wedding venue is also nearby, making Riverdale an ideal base for guests. Head to Rhyl and its sweeping beach, brimming with attractions, including Zip World Rhyl, SC2 waterpark, and SeaQuarium Rhyl, before following the coast to Kinmel Dunes Local Nature Reserve. For nature-filled landscapes, travel to Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall, or follow the Dyserth to Prestatyn Way walking trail, before summiting Gop Hill Cairn. The Snowdonia National Park and its delights are also reachable by car, recommended to explore whilst visiting North Wales. Enjoy your escape at Riverdale.

This historic settlement, which goes back to the eighth century and is located in the stunning Vale of Clwyd, is well-known for the spectacular Edward I.-built moated castle ruins that still stand today. The community has excellent bars, numerous golf courses nearby, and salmon and trout fishing on some of the river. This region is well-known for its beautiful treks along the Offa's Dyke trail or the Clwydian Hill range. The National Art Gallery of Wales, as well as Bodelwyddan Castle, which hosts frequent country fairs and vintage car displays, are all nearby. Visit the adjacent North Wales beaches, stroll down the famed promenade in Victorian Llandudno, or explore Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens, or the charming Betws-y-Coed, the entrance to Snowdonia.

Useful to have a parking space attached to the cottage. Well equipped inside, with plenty of utensils in the kitchen for cooking. All the basics provided (toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, foil, kitchen roll) and a nice welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk and Welsh cakes). Plenty of shops and supermarkets on the doorstep so easy to access all supplies, including additional wood for the wood burner. Also cafes, pubs and takeaways within walking distance if you don’t want to cook. Easy access to the coast, with all beaches dog friendly at this time of year. The dog loved it! The owner was very helpful with any queries. We will be back.

The accommodation was wonderful and felt a home-from-home for the week; it had everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Have already recommended to friends and family and we're hoping to return next year.
