Providing a real sense of semi outdoor living, Y Caban is a great opportunity to get in touch with the elements with all the mod cons of this century on hand. Enjoying rural views, character features and off-road parking, Y Caban is an excellent choice for families looking to come together and holiday in this part of Wales. Spend your down time in the open-plan living space, serving as the social hub of the home, where you can lounge on the settees beside the wood burner and catch-up on the day’s events whilst the designated chef takes over the country style kitchen, equipped with all the mod cons required for a short stay. Four miles away lies the small town of Chirk, which has a delightful selection of shops, cafes and pubs, whilst six miles north lies Llangollen, renowned for the surrounding hills and the River Dee, with a Victorian Promenade, Riverside Park and a range of water sport activities. Snowdonia National Park is less than 30 miles away and is where you can enjoy a great range of outdoor adventure, whilst the walled city of Chester, home to a great range of independent shops, a striking Cathedral, popular racecourse and selection of eateries, can be reached in 26 miles.

The beautiful Vale of Llangollen, with its dramatic mountain backdrop and boulder-strewn River Dee is the setting for this pretty tourist town, internationally famous for its Musical Eisteddfod. Explore the green valley by steam train or canal boat, or take an exhilarating walk up to Castell Dinas Brân, high above the town, in order to enjoy the breathtaking view. Llangollen offers a good range of pubs and restaurants, as well as many interesting shops. Keep entertained with an exhilarating trip whitewater rafting down the River Dee, followed by an adventurous Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or for a more leisurely experience, unwind with a relaxing afternoon in one of the local spas! The National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are within easy driving distance, while a day-long car trail can take you to visit six of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’.     The place is bigger than it looks in the photos, very warm so don't worry in winter, and despite being slightly worried because of an earlier review... NO SPIDERS
