Park your car at the side of the property and take five steps up onto the decking, before entering the property into an open-plan living space with a bright and spacious feel, thanks to its high a-frame ceiling and contemporary décor. The well-equipped but compact kitchen makes excellent use of the space, allowing you to prepare wonderful home-cooked meals, to be enjoyed at the dining table or why not open the sliding doors and head out onto the lawn to fire up the barbecue for an alfresco dinner in the evening? Glyn Ceiriog is the main village in the Ceiriog Valley, and offers a plethora of mountain, forest and hill walks, encompassing beautiful waterfalls like Pistyll Rhaeadr, a 240ft-high waterfall resting within the Berwyn Mountains, as well as picturesque scenery. The village boasts two pubs, a well-stocked convenience store for any essential items, and a Post Office with a café, while the community sports centre allows you to hire bikes, play tennis and play table tennis. Venture towards the Wales/England border to discover Chirk Castle, a national Trust-owned Medieval estate with immaculate gardens, as well as Plas Newydd Historic House & Gardens and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, an impressive World Heritage Site alongside the River Dee, complete with 19 arches. Explore the nearby town of Llangollen, which boasts charming lanes lined with independent stores, boutique shops pubs and other eateries; treat yourselves to some delicious fish and chips to accompany your idyllic afternoon stroll along the Victoria promenade. Hike up to Castell Dinas Brân, the remains of a 13th century Iron Age hillfort, which stand impressively on a hill top, towering over the town, and explore the Dee Valley from the comfort of a boat or steam train. Walking opportunities can be enjoyed along the Offa’s Dyke Path and through the Clwydian Hills, and if you are feeling adventurous, head to the spectacular Snowdonia National Park to take on the challenging climb of Snowdon, Wales' highest peak.
