Snaptrip says

Hafotty Gelynen is a well-received cottage in North Wales, praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and cosy comfort. Guests enjoyed the stunning views, the secure garden for pets, and the extra touches like Christmas decorations. The hot tub and games room were popular, despite some comments about heating. Some guests noted issues with kitchen cleanliness and maintenance, but these were minor compared to the overall positive experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally received high marks for cleanliness, with several guests describing it as 'spotless' upon arrival. However, there were a few instances where guests noted that kitchen equipment was dirty, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its rural charm, quietness, and stunning views. The secure garden and proximity to local attractions like Bala and Llangollen were appreciated. The difficulty of the access road was noted but did not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests found the property to be warm, cosy, and comfortable, with clean and comfortable beds and a cosy log fire. The only minor discomfort mentioned was the low door frames for taller individuals and the cold games room during winter.

Facilities like the hot tub and games room were highlights, though there were comments about the hot tub taking a long time to heat and the games room being cold. Some maintenance issues were raised, such as loose chairs and a lack of heating in certain areas, which affects the score.

While some guests mentioned thoughtful touches like Christmas decorations, there is insufficient information about consistent provision of welcome gifts or other thoughtful gestures to accurately score this category.

It was the prefect family get away.

It didn't bother us but it should be pointed out in the description (for those who want privacy) that the house sits on a site alongside another large barn conversion as well as other huts dotted about. The house was very comfortable and clean in the main (the sofas needed a good sweep underneath them and there was a blood stain on the duvet in the ensuite bedroom). Bathrooms nice and shiny though. The log burner was great but it should come with a warning that the handle gets extremely hot - looking at reviews, I am not the first to have burnt myself. Also, worth noting that the hot tub takes hours to heat to a desirable temperature, and a lot of logs! The sink in the main upstairs bathroom is leaking underneath; luckily we spotted the bowl in the cupboard just as it was about to overflow - needs fixing. Also, the pillowcase in one of the bedrooms has a tear along the seam which needs stitching/replacing. All in all, with a few small improvements, this would be 10/10 and we would definitely return.

There were some things that stopped it being a 5 star stay. We were disappointed to discover the other properties on site as this was not clear in the listing. We were looking for a whole property in an isolated location, not to have a group of 14 people staying right next door. There is also a leak in the roof in one of the bedrooms, several of the dining room chairs are falling apart and the utensils in the kitchen are lacking and what is there is poor quality.
