Crogen Bryn Awel is an exquisite Grade II listed detached holiday cottage, the view from which is stunning with a panoramic outlook across the Upper Dee Valley. This is one of the most attractive valleys in the UK. As part of the 2,500-acre Crogen Estate, there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed such as walking and sightseeing with fishing and tennis by arrangement, and for the more adventurous, paint balling and high ropes. Golf can be found locally. Within 1½ miles there is an outstanding restaurant, pub and village shop. Bala Lake is only a short drive away and the sandy beaches of west Wales’ coastline are approximately 45 minute drive. Llangollen is a nearby town with its horse drawn barges, steam train and numerous festivals throughout the year. Shop 1½ miles.

We booked Bryn Awel on the Crogen Estate to step away from our hectic life for a while. We got an authentic Welsh cottage with glorious views and the peace and quiet of the country side. The king size bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in and the fireplace was just fabulous. We took all the walks around the area and drove to Bala and Barmouth. We had a brilliant time with our black Labby and would recommend this adorable cottage to anyone.
