Just five minutes from the cottage, you'll find the beautifully sandy Newton Beach and the Warren of Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes (with the highest sand dune in Europe!). The beach is perfect for walking, or for just lying around, and there are plenty of opportunities along the coastline for surfing and watersports.

The beach is pet-friendly, allowing your puppy to enjoy a day out as much as you do, and you'll also find pubs and restaurants within walking distance for a great meal out.

An extensive variety of shops can be found just a short walk from Bwthyn Ty'n Cae, whilst other attractions in the nearby area include the Trecco Bay Fun Fair, the Kenfig National Nature Reserve and the Grand Pavilion.

There are two bedrooms within Bwthyn Ty'n Cae Cottage - one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Both are comfortable and tastefully furnished, sharing a modern family bathroom. The open plan kitchen leads to a lounge with patio doors, and you'll also find a purpose built wetroom with a hose for cleaning clothing and equipment after a day on the beach, or out walking. The wetroom has an additional shower for your convenience, and laundry facilities, as well as ample storage space for bikes and surf boards.

You're welcome to have one pet to stay with you at Bwthyn Ty'n Cae Cottage, for a fee of £5 per night. If you have more than one pet, you can book them in to the cottage owner's award-winning kennels, just a short walk from the cottage door. There, they'll be cared for throughout your stay, with you welcome to visit at any time.
