Everything was quality: linens, furniture, internal doors. It made me feel calm, safe and relaxed there. Such good sleep! The size is just right for a couple. I did wonder from the photos if it might be pokey in places but it absolutely wasn’t. There are skylights all across the vaulted roof which flood the property with natural light. And of course they are fitted with remote blinds. Not only was the welcome pack very generous, nearly every consumable was provided! I’ve never seen such well stocked cupboards in any other self-catering facility - even other 5 star sites. If I had to be picky, I’d only give the shower 8/10 and the owners were having temporary issues maintaining the huge gardens. The owner was lovely, approachable and very responsive if we had any queries. It’s a good location for exploring that part of the world. There’s even a pub in walking distance serving food. It isn’t the most attractive pub in the world but the staff were attentive and it was a useful option to have.

Nicely appointed small place with a kitchen that was working well. Lovely gardens from the main house were accessible for anyone. Unfortunately we had a hornet problem from a nest that was in the main building. This meant we had to secure all windows and the inside temperature was approaching 30c . Made for very unpleasant evenings and night! Hopefully the problem has been resolved.
