About this property

The Laurels Flat is a ground floor, self-contained flat, part of the main house which is run as a well-established B and B in the historic village of St Fagans. New this year, The Laurels Flat consists of a sitting room with a Super King bed, well equipped kitchenette, and a brand-new shower room. The property is only 15 minutes’ drive from Cardiff City and the Principality Stadium home to major international rugby matches. The Laurels flat is adjacent to the rear entrance of St Fagans National Museum of History; the second most visited heritage site in Wales. This is an amazing open-air museum which showcases years of Welsh history and is a must see. Only a short drive away from the sights and sounds of Barry Island Beach and Cardiff Bay. Cardiff bay is a freshwater bay with access into the Bristol Channel with many local bars, restaurants and the state-of-the-art opera house, the Cardiff Millennium centre. There is a local pub, the Plymouth Arms within walking distance of the flat which in addition to the wide of selection of drinks also offers a place to eat for the evening. If you would like something different, there is also a local bistro next door.

The capital city of Wales has much going for it as the destination for an exciting and memorable holiday. A vibrant city, Cardiff offers a fabulous selection of shopping facilities, from high street chains to independent shops and galleries. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants, and cafes, along with a growing street food scene ensuring you’re never far away from tasty fresh cuisine. A range of nightclubs and bars mean the city stays open long into the night. Theatres, galleries, museums and venues offering live music mean visitors seeking culture are well catered for, while sports fans will love visiting the Millenium Stadium or Cardiff Bay Water Activity Centre. Cardiff Bay is a wonderful place to while away the day, perhaps visiting the Senedd, home to the National Assembly of Wales, or taking a boat trip round the harbour, before indulging in some laidback waterfront dining in one of the many bars and restaurants. For sci-fi fans, the Dr Who Experience is one not to be missed. Should you wish to head out of the city, you will not be disappointed. The cities of Swansea and Bristol, the Brecon Beacons National Park, Forest of Dean and the Pembrokeshire coastline are all an easy day trip away.
