About this property

A beautiful Victorian terraced property, Moss Bank House is found just outside Conwy's UNESCO World Heritage Site which includes Conwy's Castle and town walls built by Edward 1 between 1283-1287. The property is in a slightly elevated position and provides a view of the castle through the trees below. It's a perfect spot from which to enjoy the many charms of this wonderful and historic small town and is in easy driving distance of the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia), the beautiful coastline and beaches of North Wales and Anglesey, and the natural beauty of the Conwy Valley. Moss Bank House has been sympathetically restored and retains original features whilst adding contemporary notes to provide the comforts of modern living. Arranged over two floors, Moss Bank House offers spacious and well-appointed holiday accommodation throughout. This lovely property will truly delight the whole family. The beautiful sitting room with woodburning stove, smart TV, and comfortable seating is a wonderful room in which to relax. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, hardwood and granite worktops, a Belfast sink, a dishwasher, microwave and a fridge/freezer. The dining room is directly adjacent to the kitchen and the open plan arrangement is very convenient for a social family gathering. There is also a utility room, with a washing machine, sink and folding drying rack. Off the utility room there is a cloakroom with WC and basin. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms: a king size double with en-suite shower, basin and WC; a further king size double with en-suite shower and basin; a regular sized double; and a twin room. The family bathroom has a free-standing role top bath to relax in. All bedding and towels are provided. The front of Moss Bank House enjoys a sunny aspect during the day, with a view of Conwy castle across the well-maintained garden and through the trees. The terrace has two sets of comfortable tables and chairs which are perfect for relaxing and dining alfresco. There is also a small, terraced garden to the rear. Conwy has many independent shops so, once you have explored the Castle's ramparts and walked the three-quarters of a mile of town walls, you could pop down into the town's narrow streets and discover some great little shops and numerous places to eat and drink. The historic quayside offers a charming vista, across the many boats moored on the River Conwy, towards Deganwy and its popular marina. Whilst on the quayside many visitors take the opportunity to take a peek inside the Smallest House in Great Britain; at just 122 inches tall the tour doesn't take long! A little further afield and a rewarding drive by car further delights await such as: the highly acclaimed Bodnant Gardens run by the National Trust; more spectacular castles at Harlech, Caernarfon and Beaumaris; the elegant promenade at the Victorian seaside resort of LLandudno; the tramway or cable car up to the summit of the Great Orme; the grandeur of the mountains and lakes in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park; the beautiful coastline and beaches on the Isle of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula; invigorating mountain, hill or coastal walks; the many and varied action activities provided by Zip World, Adventure Snowdonia and others; the waterfalls at Swallow Falls and Aber falls; rib rides along the Menai Straits etc. Whatever you decide, Moss Bank House is sure to delight and make a superb base for any season you choose to visit.

A World Heritage Site and market town, Conwy is a wonderful area from which to discover Wales. At its centre you can find a scatter of shops, restaurants and hotels, alongside attractions including galleries, historical landmarks and various festivals and fairs throughout the year. Nearby you can discover the beauty of the Snowdonia National Park, offering rambling opportunities and scenic sights like no other.

We were a family of 5, and Moss Bank suited us perfectly as a home away from home. It’s well appointed - with lots of living space, a great kitchen, outdoor space front and back, and four well-sized bedrooms. All very elegant, and spotlessly clean. Moss Bank is nicely located to explore Conwy and further afield. Everything is on your doorstep, but still quiet and secluded enough for a relaxing break. Thoroughly recommended.

The property was well maintained, clean and tidy. Lovely kitchen with an aga which kept downstairs toasty warm. Large lounge with comfy sofas and chairs with a log fire. Bedrooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Conwy. Handy for all the attractions in Conwy, Deganwy, Llandudno. We met the owners as we were arriving, very friendly and accommodating. Hope to be back again soon!

Lovely view from the front terrace, great location too. We had a really great family weekend in the ample space in offer inside and out.
