About this property

Set on a small working farm, where chickens roam free, horses graze and sheep rest in the surrounding fields, is this traditional farmhouse offering a restful stay in Conwy County. Resting in the village of Eglwysbach, next to the River Conwy and with easy access to Surf Snowdonia, this cottage is ideal for two couples or a family of four looking to get away and explore a beautiful region of Wales. Where a single track road separates the property from the enveloping towns and villages, and the only sounds are those of farm animals and wildlife, this location is for those who enjoy being at one with nature. Feel a warm welcome from the charming interior and step inside to enjoy a different holiday experience. All on ground floor, the bedrooms comprise a king-size and a super-king size double with zip and link beds so you can be as flexible as you like. The en-suite facilities prove beneficial when wanting to wake up to a refreshing shower. The cherished furniture compliments the farmhouse theme throughout, with wooden floors and high beamed ceilings adding character. Relax in the lounge on comfy seating and eat your meals together at the dining table, which can be prepared in the compact, yet fully-equipped galley-style kitchen. Outside is a stone exterior lined with colourful plant pots and off-road parking on the gravel. Enjoy a scenic day out filled with country walking and the world-famous National Trust Bodnant Gardens, a horticultural gem, home to manicured lawns and flourishing terraces. Further afield, Conwy offers unspoilt historical walls and castle, whilst Llandudno enjoys views at Great Orme, seasonal cable car rides and a pier occupying arcade games and shops. Choose this base for your holiday break in an interesting part of Wales.

Eglwysbach is renowned for its beautiful countryside, scenic walks and the world famous Bodnant Gardens. Nearby Conwy, is one of Britain's most unspoilt historic towns, dominated by a castle and completely enclosed by its walls - fortified with 21 towers and three gateways, forming an almost unbroken shield around the old town. National Trust's Aberconwy House, Britain's "smallest house" is worth a visit as well as the town's shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by are good beaches along the North Wales coast along with walking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing and surfing in Snowdonia.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Bethan was really lovely and helpful. Our two Cocker Spaniels were most intrigued by all the chickens and ducks. It is a very peaceful location.
