Really comfy place to stay on the edge of a village, with lovely views and walks from the front door. Quiet and peaceful, but also close to lots of interesting places to visit. Great location as a touring base. Birdfeeders to watch in the garden, good kitchen equipment, comfortable beds. Homely feel. Releaxing. I'd definitely stay again.

We have just got home from a lovely stay at Cartref cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and had lovely comfortable beds. We stayed when it was very hot and the cottage stayed cool which was a bonus! Beautiful views from the upstairs bedroom window. Tips: Access the cottage as it states in the arrival info: Clobryn Rd, Trem Y Don, Gadlas Rd Dolman Rd, Trawscoed Rd. Do not try and drive the other way up Trawscoed Rd from Isallt rd unless you have a 4x4 as it's literally a single gravel track road! We bumped into a poor couple who had mistakenly driven that way and they looked traumatised from the journey! Once you've parked outside the cottage, you can continue to drive down Trawscoed road and there is a larger turning area outside a caravan park before Trawscoed Rd turns into the gravel track!Only 1 little shop walkable from the cottage. We found Aldi in Old Colwyn the closest and most convenient shop. Lots of takeaways deliver to the cottage on Just Eat.
