About this property

This delightful stone built, double fronted 'proper' stone cottage, rather lovely and with rustic charm, offers an ideal base from which to explore North Wales. Situated in the picturesque hamlet known as Fox Hole,on the outskirts of the busy town of Abergele, this quirky cottage enjoys wonderful views of the North Wales coastline, plus a glorious countryside vista. Surrounded by ancient woodland and winding country lanes offering peaceful strolls, this holiday cottage will appeal to those seeking a relaxing break. To the rear is a site of scientific interest, home to bats and owls...and you may be lucky enough to spot the occasional deer on the hillside opposite! Yet this endearing retreat has close proximity to the A55 North Wales Expressway and, with the beach being within three miles, it is, by no means, isolated. Abergele town is within walking distance where you will find a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops to suit all tastes. Venture into the nearby towns of Conwy, Llandudno, Rhyl or Prestatyn, all waiting to be explored. Snowdonia National Park is certainly not to be missed. Number 3 Fox Hole has a modernised interior which offers rustic and charming accommodation, being open plan to the ground floor. Upstairs, all bedrooms benefit from televisions and the third bedroom makes an ideal day room/lounge with French doors opening onto the patio. The rear garden is terraced, again with superb views from its higher levels. Very much an ongoing project, this private garden has seating areas, dry stone walling and gravelled surfaces.

Abergele is a seaside town resting on the North Wales coastline between the Vale of Clwyd and the Conwy Valley. Within the town you will find the Gwrych Castle, a sandy beach, a coastal cycle path and the Offa's Dyke pathway. Within the surrounding area you will find Clwydian Hill Range for walking enthusiasts and Betws-y-Coed which is known as the "Gateway to Snowdonia".
