Cottage well equipped and comfortable. Grounds need attention bit of weedkiller wouldn’t go amiss. Access via single track road was an issue for us as not used to that, so wouldn’t return for that reason.

We had a very pleasant stay at this beautiful cottage. It’s set in a peaceful location with a lovely picnic area, and although it feels wonderfully quiet and rural, most places are still within a 30‑minute drive.🌿 Location & AtmosphereThe surroundings are incredibly tranquil, with birdsong from around 4am and continuing throughout the day. It really adds to the charm of the place. The pond area is lovely too, and with a little pruning it would be even nicer to see - especially with the ducklings around. A few flowers in the planters would make it feel even more welcoming.🏡 The CottageThe cottage itself is cosy, though it does get quite warm upstairs when the sun is shining. The double bed is very bouncy, so if you’re sharing, expect to move together when one person rolls over. We can’t comment on the pillows as we always bring our own.Great to see plenty of hooks on the doors - such a small thing but so helpful.WiFi was intermittent at times.🐾 Dog‑Friendly NotesA small dog guard at the bottom of the stairs would be a brilliant addition. It wouldn’t need to be fixed, just something without gaps to stop dogs heading upstairs. We improvised with the airer, but a proper guard would make things easier for future guests.📺 Accessibility & EquipmentMy mum has a hearing impairment, so we brought her Signia TV Sound device, which plugs into the TV. Unfortunately, the TV here didn’t have the compatible ports, so we couldn’t use it. This might be worth noting for guests who rely on similar devices. The kitchen has a gas oven, which we’re not used to, we’re very much an air‑fryer household these days! An air fryer would be a fantastic addition to the cottage and very convenient for guests.Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. With a few small updates, this cottage could be even more comfortable for future visitors.
