Guests say

The Farmhouse in Lampeter offers a charming, spacious retreat with stunning surroundings, ideal for large groups and families. Guests appreciate the property's rustic charm, beautiful setting, and helpful owners. The addition of a hot tub and games room enhances the experience, although some guests noted a need for additional showers and minor maintenance.

Most guests found The Farmhouse to be spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable stay. However, a few guests mentioned areas that had not been cleaned to their satisfaction, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.

The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions and beaches. The rural setting on a working farm adds to the charm and provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday.

Guests generally found the farmhouse comfortable, with plenty of space and cosy areas to relax. Some guests mentioned creaky beds and a musty room, which suggests room for improvement in ensuring consistent comfort for all guests.

The farmhouse offers a range of facilities including a hot tub, games room, and play area, which are well-received. However, several guests noted issues with showers, kitchen appliances, and the need for modernisation, indicating that some facilities require attention and maintenance.

While many guests commented on the helpfulness and responsiveness of the owners, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this score is set to null due to insufficient information.

It is set in beautiful countryside, only a short walk through fields and woodland to the river and a National Trust property to visit. Nearby Aberaeron, New Quay etc. were delightful. The house is very spacious and equipped well for our small party of 6, the hot tub and outdoor patio area was lovely. The owner was helpful and pleasant. The weather was quite wet and chilly at times but the heating is effective. We made some lovely memories and thoroughly enjoyed our autumn holiday - thank you! For improvement, we would have liked property and appliance information, a bit about the history and facilities like the solar panels, local walks etc. We got some of this by asking but we expected a folder or book of info that was not present. We love log burners - generous wood supply thank you, but in our opinion the log burners need attention, and some general house maintenance would improve the property further (then it would probably be too expensive to book!!). The games room whilst a nice facility, is tired, and could do with some refurbishment.

Dog friendly beaches nearby and plenty of places to visit.

The mixer shower over the bath was temperamental and most of the men could not even fit under it. Only 2 burners working on the oven and main oven door did not shut tightly. Not ideal when cooking for 12 Mattress in single room is super uncomfortable as able to feel springs High chair had dried food on it. Tray was clean but no one had thought to check elsewhere. These things did not stop us from enjoying our week but washing and cooking when there are 12 of you need to be made as easy as possible when you are on holiday. The house was spacious and we loved the outdoor area with BBQ and hot tub.
