Snaptrip says

Shore Hall is highly praised for its welcoming atmosphere, ample space, and excellent facilities, including a well-equipped games room and comfortable lounges. The property's historic charm and thoughtful touches by hosts Lyn and Paul are consistently mentioned, alongside the convenience of a nearby pub and scenic walks. The hot tub is a highlight, even in inclement weather, and the property's festive decorations during holiday seasons add to its enchantment.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers describe the property as spotless, indicating a high level of cleanliness that contributes to the welcoming atmosphere of Shore Hall.

The property's location is praised for its stunning scenery and proximity to local amenities, such as supermarkets and a hospitable pub. Direct access to walks onto the Pennines is also highly valued.

Guests find the bedrooms comfortable and the property spacious enough for large groups to spread out. A slight deduction is made due to a mention of inadequate shower pressure in one en-suite.

The facilities, including a well-stocked games room and multiple TV lounges, are highly appreciated. The hot tub is a favourite feature. A minor issue with the key box location and the en-suite shower pressure prevents a perfect score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the special touches like festive decorations and their readiness to assist. While gifts are warmly received, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed.

Lots of walks nearby, and spotted deer and green woodpeckers and saw a calf being born in the nearby farm. The house is very well equipped and great layout for lots of people. The hot tub and sauna were a great hit too. Highly recommended!

The property is beautiful, it's large but yet still has a cosy feel. The original features are what sets this property apart. The property owner was wonderful, she made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and was very quick to answer any questions that I had. Thank you for the lovely stay!

  • Paula

The house was warm and welcoming and our multi generational family of 12 had enough room to come together yet spread out into different living rooms or the well stocked games room. I would definitely recommend a stay here for a family event. The decor and details throughout are perfect with beautiful character features, we really felt cosy and at home. Local supermarkets are plentiful and only minutes away. Walks onto the Pennines are accessible directly from the front door and the house becomes a part of the Landscape - you almost feel like you’re at Wuthering Heights! We all loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.
