No 2 Pegraig Draw offers a peaceful rural retreat with beautiful views and easy access to the coastal path, making it ideal for walkers and dog owners. Guests frequently praise the comfortable, well-equipped accommodation and the helpfulness of the owners. While most found the property clean and welcoming, a few noted occasional lapses in cleanliness and minor maintenance issues. The location is quiet yet convenient for exploring Aberystwyth and the surrounding area. Overall, the cottage provides good value for money and a relaxing base for a holiday in West Wales.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, with fresh linens and towels. However, a few reviews mentioned issues such as unwashed dishes, a dirty bath, and some areas needing a deeper clean, which slightly lowered the overall impression.
The location is widely praised for its tranquillity, scenic views, and proximity to the coastal path and local amenities. Some guests found it a little difficult to find initially, and a few noted that access to the coastal path could be improved.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, warm, and well-suited for a relaxing stay. Positive comments highlighted the cosy atmosphere and suitability for both couples and dog owners. Occasional noise from neighbouring properties was mentioned.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Some minor maintenance issues, such as broken furniture and sticky kitchen appliances, were noted but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
A welcome booklet was provided, though not immediately visible, and basic supplies like washing up liquid were available. No gifts or welcome packs were mentioned, and guests should note that such extras are not guaranteed.

This one-bedroomed cottage for two is located within a small complex, and is set in quiet countryside with beautiful views. In a rural setting, but located just 3 miles south of the seaside town of Aberystwyth and with beautiful views of mountains and coast, No 2 Pengraig Draw is furnished and equipped to a very good standard. This terraced cottage is all on one level, with open-plan accommodation, and overlooks the valley so that you can enjoy relaxing and soaking up the views.
You can discover clean sandy beaches with clear waters, caves, waterfalls, wild rugged cliffs and so much more within easy reach. If you are bringing your pet on holiday, many of the beaches are dog friendly all year round. There are fabulous coastal walks across the headlands to secret coves rarely visited, except by birds and the ghosts of ancient smugglers. The pretty coastal towns of New Quay and Aberaeron are well worth exploring, and offer quaint shops and a wide choice of cafés and restaurants. Sit on a harbour wall and drink in the atmosphere whilst enjoying a local honey ice cream or fish and chips!
The dignified, Victorian resort of Aberystwyth, with its electric cliff railway, promenade and pier, is close by, as are the compelling Cambrian Mountains, a ‘Wild Wales’ of hill sheep farms, forest and lakelands. Take a stately meandering train ride on what was once a working link between local lead mines and the harbour. The Vale of Rheidol Railway now runs a steam train service through the Rheidol Valley terminating at Devil’s Bridge, and here you can choose to go and see the three bridges over the river, or visit other attractions such as the famous Mynach Falls, Devil’s Punch Bowl and Jacob’s Ladder. Beach 1 mile. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

For the price I paid this cottage was good. Well designed along with the others near it. Clearly been in use a while but had everything I needed. I liked it. Some of the kitchen needs a deep clean, eg extractor fan, which was sticky but nothing major. Nice white cotton sheets and towels. Hot water always. Washing up liquid, cloth and sponge provided but no other extras. No toiletries or welcome pack. Reflects price paid.Wifi seemed to go off in the evening - maybe when others in the complex using it. Poor mobile signal for EEThe cottages are in a fairly remote spot and a car is needed. Views are very nice though. I was disappointed because I was influenced to book because the website said the coastal path was across the field and I was hoping to do some nice dog walks. In reality there was a field of cattle to cross ( not good with a dog) and farm gates were roped or barbed wire shut making me feel that I shouldn’t really cross the field so only did it once. All farm land around sonot obvious where you can walk.Went out in car every day. As a single woman I was fine but one house is rented out to workmen ( who were quiet and fine it turned out) and at the end of my stay as the farmhouse was rented to a large group of young men who were ok but I bit noisy as hi woke expect. The owners are not on site and I didn’t see them all week, so I wasn’t 100% comfortable with all this. It was fine though in the end but given the remoteness of the cottages I would think twice about staying there again. If it wasn’t for an elderly couple staying on once of the cottages I’d have been the only woman on the complex at the end of the week with a lot of men. Fine for couples, small groups. I did have a good week however and again, I did like the cottage itself.

Great location and accomodation and for the price it would be harsh to moan about small details that are found at a majority of UK holiday lets

We have been to this cottage before and it was brilliant. It was clean, comfy and welcoming. The owners are lovely and really helpful before and after your visit. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to people.
