I have never in my whole life gone away on holiday and had to start cleaning as soon as I arrive. All surfaces were dirty:- floors, furniture, windows, rug. Cobwebs and dirt on broken ceiling light and window ledges. The bed linen and towels were clean but the accommodation itself was awful. Very poorly equipped (not even a tin opener/tray) and the cupboards for storing food etc needed a good sort out and clean. (container of fossils/shells in a food cupboard?) The description and pictures of Pocket Watch are very misleading ... where is the patio area and bbq? Very difficult to get to the front door even. The location is fantastic but that's all it has going for it. Yes the owner is very helpful and friendly but that does not make up for the poor state of the property. Cottages.com should jnspect this property .. I can assure you it was a lot cleaner when I left than when I arrived.
