This friendly family greeted us on arrival to hand over keys, they live locally so are on hand should you need help, but are not intrusive. The cottage is in a peaceful pretty location, with distant sea views and fabulous starry night skies. It is a charming old building well equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom, spacious bedrooms and a lovely secluded south/west facing sunny garden and loads of safe parking. Within easy reach of several beaches and towns. A local shop, pub, and petrol station all within a few minutes drive. We met with the owners again to hand back the keys and they welcomed any suggestions on how to make the cottage even more appealing, although as it was pretty much perfect our ideas were very minor. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Maenllwyd and it was a pleasure dealing with Meleri and Rhodri. The cottage is clean, comfortable and functional in a pretty tucked away lane with beautiful surroundings. Close to Aberystwyth and some smaller sleepy villages - ideal for walking, cycling or mooching around.

Very lovely house and perfect for a family getaway. The owners were very friendly and left some welcome gifts, including eggs from their farm, which was a really nice gesture. The garden was secure and the kids spent hours playing there. We could find no faults with the property and would love to stay again.
