Not a cottage we would recommend for the high price asked. Firstly the location is very remote with no nearby villages, shops/supermarkets or places to eat or any other amenities which may not suit all peoples needs. The cottages are very rural so be very aware before booking and have a long narrow step lane leading to them. The Cottage itself was very small with the advertised king-sized bed being only a double which had a very badly stained mattress that needed replacing. This was a major disappointment as I am big boned and tall with it so sleeping was very difficult, it is also very low to the ground. We would not have booked this had we known it was only a double bed.The upstairs was very badly designed with the double bed, a TV and a small two seater sofa that was the most uncomfortable we have ever sat on as the base has collapsed.Upstairs there is a pointless to most freestanding bath that takes up a third of the total space that will hardly ever get used, this could have been made into more space for a larger bed and sofa area. The kitchen was under resourced with badly cracked plates that needed replacing badly, very little in the amount of crockery available and the fridge needs replacing as the bottom part of it was broken as was the ice tray that didn’t close and was full of ice and dirty. It is also advertised as having a welcome pack, but there wasn’t one.The oven was good and as was the microwave and worktop area was also adequate. The bathroom is very small with broken floor tiles and a tiny bath/shower that had a too small shower screen that allowed water to cover the floor unless you were very careful. No mop available to clean up the water either.Positives: the views are good and on the outside the area is well kept and the heating is also worked very well.Overall, Very expensive for the quality and size.
