Guests say

Swallows Nest is a peaceful, rural retreat with an enclosed garden, ideal for dog owners. Guests appreciate the quiet location, the welcoming hosts, and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage offers a cosy atmosphere, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests enjoying the wildlife and the tranquillity of the countryside.

The property is described as 'spotlessly clean' by a guest, suggesting a high standard of cleanliness. No other reviews contradict this, so a high score is warranted.

The location is praised for its quietness and rural charm, with proximity to attractions and beaches. The presence of wildlife and scenic views contribute to a high score.

Comfort is highlighted with mentions of a cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and a warm welcome. However, one guest mentioned a hazardous step, slightly lowering the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and garden. However, there are mentions of a shower issue, a dishwasher needing attention, and a preference for a washing machine, indicating room for improvement.

While guests mention a welcome pack, there is not enough information to assess the consistency or quality of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that gifts are not guaranteed.

The accommodation is very average, the best part is the enclosed garden for your dogs. But the owner has 2 dogs that roam freely on her property and the day we were leaving and packing our car. One of her dogs tried to attack one of my small dogs which was on its lead ,I had to block her dog with my body and shout at it, until the owner got it under control, very scary. I found the owner to be very offhanded and aggressive especially when I first phoned up about the key collection, which she did apologise for. Me and my husband has had many holidays with cottages.com and they have all been lovely, nice welcoming owners ect. But this one at Swallows nest was the worst one ever ,manly due to the owner ,I personally will never go back there again.
