Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack and facilities for both canine and human visitors. The property is praised for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the friendly hosts who add to the charm of the rural retreat.
Guests have described the cottage as clean, which suggests a high standard of cleanliness. However, without more detailed reviews focusing on this aspect, a perfect score cannot be given.
The location is frequently mentioned as a positive feature, being close to beaches, villages, and outdoor activities. The rural setting is appreciated, although the single track lane access may not suit everyone.
The comfort of the cottage is highlighted by guests, with mentions of very comfortable beds and a cosy, warm atmosphere, indicating a high level of satisfaction in this category.
Facilities are generally praised, including the availability of an EV charger and a built-in washing machine. However, a mention of a tap needing a new washer suggests there is room for improvement in maintenance.

Pendegy Mill lies within a wooded valley on the edge of the rural village of Llanybri, nestled in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Sited a convenient distance from the historic coastal village of Llansteffan, it is just half a mile from the West Wales Coastal Path. These two beautiful cottages, situated next to the owners’ home, are the perfect base to explore all that Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire have to offer. Mill Cottage was a working water mill; the mill race running into the babbling stream flowing through the beautiful grounds out to the River Taff and into the Carmarthen Bay. These two Welsh stone barns, The Granary and Mill Cottage, have been lovingly restored and offer an idyllic holiday location. They have been finished to a very good standard throughout and have been thoughtfully furnished. On the ground floor is an open plan living space which is superb for social and family gatherings. Take in the coastal air outside in the shared lawns and garden - the perfect spot to dine al fresco and enjoy a delicious meal cooked on the BBQ.
Take a trip into nearby Llansteffan for freshly brewed coffee or travel back in time with a visit to Llansteffan Castle which is steeped in history, and boasts commanding views across the estuary of the River Towy and out towards the Gower Peninsula. Travelling west, a trip to Laugharne is a must. Here you can visit the house and writing shed of famous poet Dylan Thomas, or stop for a refreshing drink and meal at one of the local pubs he would often frequent. Further along this unique coastline is the village of Pendine, which boasts 7 miles of beautiful sandy beach where the land speed record was set in the famous car, Babs. The car was excavated from the Pendine Sands and can be seen today at the Museum of Speed in the town. Within a 40-minute drive you can visit Carmarthen, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, the famous walled seaside town of Tenby, or enjoy a day out at Wales’ largest theme park, Oakwood. A delightful cottage in a beautiful remote part Wales. Ideal for exploring the coastal path, local beaches and castles. In easy striking distance of Tenby. Very welcoming couple you provided some treats on arrival and use of their EV charger. One of the taps needed a new washer generally a very well equipped cottage with a lot of thought for canine and human visitors.

The Granary was a great find with exceptionally kind and friendly hosts. Located in the countryside it gives a true "in the countryside " feel and yet so close to many small quaint villages with interesting activities. Being close to excellent local restaurants in the area especially at Lansteffan makes for a good choice when it comes to Welsh cooking in an environment of friendliness and vibrance. Close to the beaches , and with the Wales Coast Path on the doorstep there are plenty of outdoors activities for the adventurous. I can highly recommend a week at this lovely accommodation which has been tastefully decorated and fully equipped. Very comfortable beds as well ensure a good nights sleep after an active day. A built in washing machine in the kitchen was very handy and plenty of drying room caters well for the walkers. The many small villages each offer their own special treats and an effort to visit them will provide the visitor with a comprehensive exposure to the culture and uniqueness of the area generally.

Perfect for a restful holiday in a quiet location. Accessed by a single track lane as is common throughout Wales. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The Welcome Pack of delicious Welsh food was a nice bonus. Warm cosy and spacious.
