Guests say

Pondfield Gate is a beautifully presented cottage, praised for its immaculate cleanliness, comfort, and extensive, well-kept garden. Guests consistently highlight the warm and attentive hospitality of the owners, thoughtful touches throughout the property, and a well-equipped kitchen. The cottage is ideally situated for exploring both the Brecon Beacons and the Gower, making it a convenient base for a variety of day trips. While the weather occasionally limited use of the garden, guests found the cottage itself so inviting that it hardly detracted from their stay. The property is highly recommended by repeat visitors.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as immaculate, spotless, and maintained to the highest standard, with no negative comments noted.

The location is praised for its convenience to the Brecon Beacons, Gower, and other attractions. While the immediate village is described as unremarkable, the cottage's position as a base for exploring South Wales is highly valued.

Guests consistently mention the cottage's comfort, including high-quality beds, cosy lounges, and a homely atmosphere. Only minor comments about weather affecting garden use were noted, not the comfort of the cottage itself.

Facilities are described as exceptional, with a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living areas, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Minor suggestions for improvement (e.g., privacy lock on a loo) were rare and did not detract from overall satisfaction.

The owners are frequently commended for their warm welcomes, helpfulness, and thoughtful touches such as welcome baskets, homemade cakes, and gifts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Outstanding accommodation in a beautiful setting. Lovely hosts, who also provided thoughtful welcoming gifts for our arrival.

A superb large garden with several seating areas and tables. Rebecca was extremely helpful and attentive. After a few days she texted to ensure that we were ok and asked if there was anything that we needed. The next door neighbour was very friendly and considerate. She had grandchildren over one day, who had music on, playing very loudly when we returned from a day out. As soon as she realised we were home, she told them to turn it down. Unfortunately we had to leave a few days early as my mum had taken ill.

Clean and comfy, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Rebecca was an excellent host. The garden was beautiful and peaceful. The cottage is perfectly located for mountains, beautiful beaches and lovely towns.
