About this property

Sign Fawr is a two-bedroom cottage in Newborough (Welsh-Niwbwrch) and is a wonderful place to come if you want to spend some quality time with the family. It has been lovingly decorated and is equipped with all the appliances for a great stay, including an enclosed garden with a barbecue for alfresco dining. The exposed stone inglenook fire with woodburning stove provides a rustic atmosphere in the evenings. You can leave your vehicle in a roadside parking space before stepping inside your holiday home to explore the open-plan living space. The well-appointed kitchen area hosts a microwave, a fridge/freezer, an electric oven, a hob, and a dishwasher. There is a dining area where you can dine together, and you can open the patio doors to let in fresh air and natural light. Savour a glass of wine in the enclosed garden and when the evening cools you can retire to the sitting area, put up your feet and flicker through the Smart TV. Head upstairs to the first floor, where you will find a fully tiled, white bathroom with a double walk-in shower to wash away the day. There are two bedrooms to choose from, with a king-size offering bedside lamps to entice you to open a book and a family bedroom with a double and a bunk bed. Just moment's away, is a pub to treat yourselves to dining out, a fish and chip shop to make use of your coastal setting and a convenience store to assist your stay. Explore the surrounding attractions with a stop at Anglesey Transport Museum & Café and, or soak in the sunrays at the Blue Flag beach, Traeth Llanddwyn. Venture to the city of Bangor, where you can visit National Trust - Penrhyn Castle and Garden to learn about the country's rich heritage. For all this and more, secure a stay at Sign Fawr.

Newborough (Welsh: Niwbwrch) is a small village in Anglesey's south-west corner. Nearby is Llanddwyn Bay, one of Britain's best beaches for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing, birdwatching, or relaxing. Behind the beach, the 1500-acre Newborough Warren sand dune system is home to skylarks, meadow pipits, oyster catchers, toads, and lizards. Tan y Foel horse riding centre is 3 miles from the village centre. Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, and Anglesey Sea Salt make fun family day trips. Anglesey's racetrack is in nearby Aberffraw.
