Off-road parking for two cars ensures an easy arrival to unload your belongings and get settled inside. Be welcomed by an open-plan living space to spend time relaxing after a busy day by the sea. Prepare beach picnics or home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen area with a contemporary finish and speckled countertops, complete with electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and a slim-line dishwasher to do the cleaning up whilst you unwind, as well as a washing machine to freshen up your beachwear. Dine at the breakfast bar or retire to the cushioned sofas with a cold glass of wine for an evening of games or catch your favourite show on the TV. Be sure to make the most of sunnier days in the rear garden, whether that's with your morning cup of coffee at the outdoor seating or crossing the shared access path to the lawn area; lay down a blanket for a picnic whilst your four-legged friends relax in the grass, whilst the summerhouse is a lovely little retreat for some peace and quiet! A fun-filled day at the beach calls for plenty of rest, so climb the stairs to wash off the sand in the shower room, before crawling under the sheets. Choose from a first-floor double or a second-floor king-size, both with a TV and storage space, whilst the king-size also has an arched window with sea views and access to the second-floor twin room with an en-suite shower room; an ideal set up for couples with children! A glorious coastal location, there are a whole host of attractions and activities on The Quarterdeck's doorstep; Trearddur Bay is known for its expansive sandy beach and seaside restaurants for scenic backdrops over dinner, whilst water sports enthusiasts can enjoy surfing, swimming, sailing and windsurfing during the summer months. A short journey north brings you to the port town of Holyhead for an exciting day out, whether that's fish and chips by the sea, wandering Anglesey's coastal path, or venturing to Breakwater Country Park or South Stack, famous for its landmark and perfect conditions for a variety of birdlife to flourish. You'll have the best of rolling countryside, charming villages and idyllic beaches across the island, including Beaumaris with its unique castle and a picturesque pier to walk along with ice cream in hand; the likes of Lligwy Beach and Traeth Llanddwyn are two examples of Anglesey's beautiful beaches. Explore further afield by crossing the Menai Bridge over to mainland Wales for Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, the cathedral city of Bangor and the royal town of Caernarfon. Make The Quarterdeck your reliable base whilst you explore a wonderful region of Wales.

Trearddur Bay is located on Holy Island's western shore. It's breathtakingly gorgeous, with a long, low grassland shoreline punctuated by rocky bays and fine sand beaches (European Blue Flag). During the summer, watersports, bathing, sailing, and windsurfing are popular activities, and golfers will appreciate the renowned Holyhead 18-hole links golf course. Wouldn't recommend, the only thing going for it is the location. We left a night early, sick of cleaning flys up. Here is the list sent to Sykes and the owner, no apology, no offer of a partial refund. I am not petty, this place simply was not worth £1500!!! Sykes and the owner have all the photos. 1) Fly infestation, this is not an odd fly, they are particularly bad in the kitchen. New ones appear every day and alot of them. In cupboards, everywhere. 2) There was a toilet brush on the spare pillows in the double bedroom cupboard. 3) The chopping boards were filthy and smelled. 4) The kitchen hadn't been cleaned properly, towards the back of the worktops were dirty and also the splash back. 5) The crumb catcher in the toaster hadnt been emptied, what looked like for months. 4) The TV in the lounge isn't working properly. 5) There were cracks in the plaster in the lounge. 6) The window catch in the "kids" bedroom is broken off, leaving a gap in the window, so letting wind through. 7) The shelf holders in the fridge were dirty.

Following on from recent reviews (seen after we booked unfortunately) its fair to say the cottage is rarely if ever properly cleaned. There is a very serious fly infestation - which is already noted by a previous guest and clearly hasn’t been resolved. We found the kitchen and general arrears to be dirty, hairs and dead flies in cupboards and ward robes and a particularly dirty toilet brush chucked on top of the spare pillows in the main wardrobe. The cleanliness and upkeep was so bad - we decided against using a single cup, kettle or toaster - not a single hot drink or piece of toast for the whole holiday - and we paid over £1300 for the privilege. Poor from the owner, poor from Sykes for not acting on previous complaints

Milk and bara brith left for us which was very thoughtful. It is in a great location with easy walking to the beach and restaurants, (about 5-10 minutes.) Would stay again if in the area.
