The property was well presented, clean, and perfect for our family - 5 adults and 4 year old grandson - with hot tub and plenty of parking space. The large garage has a pool table, toys, and a dart board (though not enough darts - my son had to order a set from Amazon which were delivered to the cottage the following day!) It was actually too windy during our stay to go on the beach, but that was just a stroll away, as was the Sea Shanty cafe, which we could really recommend.

The decking and garden furniture need maintenance. Some cushions for the garden furniture but they were grubby. Garden front and back, weeds in borders and coming through cracks in concrete. Porch, dirty & full of debris door mat filthy, plastic ceiling full of rust spots, weather cill to door dirty. Windows need cleaning inside as do the inner window frames which were full of black gunge. Master bedroom, shower ran hot then cold constantly, also needed a good clean. Skirting boards full of dust. Lounge, skirtings rotten by the glass doors, damp ingress and paint peeling on chimney breast. No welcome pack. No tea, coffee sugar - never not had a small amount provided as standard, in addition to a welcome pack. Generally disappointing in view of the fact that it is the owners own holiday home and the price paid. I expected better than this.
