About this property

This spacious, detached bungalow sits in a fabulous coastal setting in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey. Presented to a great standard with off-road parking and an enclosed garden, Haul a Gwynt is a great family home for up to six guests. After a day on the beach, wash away on the sand in the bathroom before retreating to the kitchen/diner, where you can conjure up a hearty dish with help from the gas oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Gather at the dining table and enjoy the fruits of your labour before popping on the dishwasher and relaxing in the lounge. Step out to the garden and enjoy a moment on the patio furniture whilst your pooch stretches their legs. When it comes to catching your rest, three double bedrooms await, with the master occupying an en-suite shower room whilst the others are served by a family bathroom. This Anglesey location is spectacular, with Trearddur Bay being renowned for its sandy beaches, restaurants, various hotels and superb golf course, and the property itself is approximately a five minute stroll to the main beach of the Bay – perfect for dog walking! Learn about the area’s history with a visit to the historic house and museum of Craig Y Mor, the Neolithic burial chamber of Trefignath and Tŷ Mawr Standing Stone. If adventure takes you further afield, embark to Holyhead which offers the Holyhead Maritime Museum, Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path as well as Breakwater Country Park where you can follow the scenic trails, birdwatch, and fish. With all this, plus the delights of Rhosneigr, Caernarfon and Bangor accessible in a scenic drive, there’s plenty of adventure to be had at Haul a Gwynt.

On the western side of Holy Island is Trearddur Bay. It's breathtaking, with a wide expanse of low grassland shoreline punctuated by rocky bays and fine sand beaches (European Blue Flag). In the summer, swimming, sailing, and windsurfing are the major activities, and golfers will appreciate the superb Holyhead 18-hole links course. It's a terrific location for nature enthusiasts with abundance of rock pools, cliff top treks, and renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve. Trearddur Bay itself has stores, bars, and restaurants, but Holyhead, which is close by, has a bigger selection of services. These include a first-rate leisure facility, an eye-catching harbour front, a marina, the second-longest breakwater in the world, and thrilling ferry rides to Dublin. You can enjoy hikes in the lovely Holyhead Breakwater Country Park and a fantastic cafe at the Maritime Museum in Holyhead. The lovely Newborough, with its wonderful woodland and beach, and Beaumaris, with its town and castle, are both located further away. a fantastic location with lots to do and see!

Lovely and clean on arrival. Perfect location. We would defiantly stay again. Garden very secure for the dogs. Could do with a few more cooking items o my as my partner enjoys baking. Scales, baking trays and pans. Very nice welcome pack. 2-3 mins maximum to the beach and pubs. Chipped the best I’ve ever had. Some out side lights and down lights in the kitchen and that’s being picky but in the winter would help. We had a visit from a beautiful big badger on the lawn. Tv needs an Ariel struggled abit with it being winter for things to watch. Thank you for letting us take an extra dog.
