About this property

Rhosneigr 1.8 miles. Offering a secluded spot on the wondrous Isle of Anglesey near the seaside village of Rhosneigr, Ffrwd is a traditional detached cottage boasting a ground-floor layout and original features. Enjoy the homely interior of this classic cottage when you're not out and about exploring the island, with exposed beams, slate floors and quaint decor giving Ffrwd character and charm. The beautiful sitting room is home to a rustic stone inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove set within it, be warmed by the fire while you relax on the sofa or armchairs and appreciate the elegant decoration. Head under the exposed beams and into the kitchen/diner to find a charming blue and white fitted kitchen, looking picture-perfect while being home to all the appliances you need for rustling up some tasty home-cooked dishes. Dine alfresco or have a barbecue in summer in the enclosed patio with countryside views in the distance creating a serene scene. Rest in one of the two bedrooms in the evening; choose the double bedroom and wind down by watching a film on the wall-mounted TV, whilst the single bedroom with a truckle bed is perfect for children. Both the bedrooms are served by the shower room with a walk-in shower, so you can come straight from the beach and wash the sand away. Enjoy days spent on Rhosneigr's beaches, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, both home to golden sands and great waters for watersports, hire some equipment from the beachfront surf store and get out on the water, or book in for a lesson and learn how to surf, paddle board, kite surf, or wind surf. Golfers can visit the excellent Anglesey Golf Club which is home to an 18-hole course offering some lovely scenery too, as well as the Holyhead Golf Club on Holy Island. Visit Holy Island for Trearddur Bay Beach which could be mistaken for southern France on a warm, sunny day, with white sands and clear waters, it's a popular spot for holidaymakers. Catch a ferry from Holyhead to Ireland for a fun-filled day trip to Dublin or simply begin an exploration of this small outcrop and head to the Breakwater Country Park which has some scenic trails, a fishing lake and is great for birdwatching. You might want to look at the kitchen tap when you turn it to cold the tap leaks and in my experience it’s not going to be long before the pressure blows the tap top off. Other than that the accommodation and facilities are great

.. Just spend New year weekend here and it was lovely, kitchen is best equipped I've ever stayed in, it's in a beautiful place it's 4 mins drive to beaches, overall a truly amazing stay. The courtyard outside is fab and nice and big great for dogs, BUT be careful we had a lot of rain and I was unloading car and got splashed by a car going past and courtyard floor outside is quick slippery and this is probably why. So a very small miner but it wouldn't stop us going back more a beware lol... Beautiful cottage in a perfect place x
