Guests say

Chapel House receives glowing praise for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and suitability for large groups and families. Guests highlight the well-equipped kitchen, ample communal areas, and peaceful countryside setting, making it ideal for gatherings and relaxation. The owners are frequently commended for their excellent communication and helpfulness. While a few minor maintenance issues and suggestions for additional amenities are noted, these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The property’s rural location is appreciated for its tranquillity, though a car is recommended. Overall, Chapel House offers a memorable and comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings.

Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the property as spotless, immaculate, and maintained to a high standard. Only rare, minor issues are mentioned, indicating a strong focus on hygiene and presentation.

The rural, peaceful location is a highlight for many, offering tranquillity and scenic views. While some note the need for a car due to its remoteness, most appreciate the proximity to beaches and local attractions, valuing the seclusion and countryside charm.

Guests find the house extremely comfortable, with spacious rooms, cosy communal areas, and quality bedding. Occasional comments mention minor issues such as bed sizes or heating in specific rooms, but overall comfort is rated very highly.

Facilities are a strong point, with the kitchen, garden, table tennis, and multiple bathrooms frequently praised. Some guests suggest improvements such as more seating, mirrors, or kitchen utensils, and note minor maintenance issues, but these are outweighed by positive feedback.

The owners are repeatedly described as helpful, communicative, and accommodating. However, several guests note the absence of a welcome pack or local gifts; while some properties offer these, they are not guaranteed at Chapel House.

About this property

Llanddeusant 1 mile. A superb, purpose built, luxury holiday cottage on the site of a former chapel, in the hamlet of Elim, near the west coast of Anglesey. Stylishly presented with reclaimed chapel fixtures introduced throughout to add character, including original vestry doors, church pews seating and window sills fashioned from former church pews, the attention to detail is excellent. The kitchen is spacious and well designed around a central breakfast island and merges with a dining area located in front of bi-fold doors that open onto the inviting rear garden, bringing the outside flooding in. A spacious, formal sitting room is located on the first floor with comfy sofas wrapped around a woodburning stove and patio doors opening onto a Juliette balcony and revealing stunning country views and amazing sunsets.

A further reception area on the ground floor has been created to form a cosy snug room also with a woodburning stove, ideal to escape to for some peace and quiet with a good book and perhaps a glass of wine. Off the kitchen you will find a relaxing games room with table tennis table and further seating, ideal for the kids to make their own space. The bedrooms are split across the two floors, with a king-size double bedroom with en-suite and a twin bedroom located on the ground floor, and two twin rooms, a double bedroom and a king-size double bedroom on the first floor which also enjoys an en-suite bathroom.

With delightful countryside views from this Llanddeusant cottage and a choice of three sitting areas, two with warming woodburning stoves, you will be spoilt for choice for where to relax after a long day at the beach! Outside this Anglesey cottage is a large lawned garden which enjoys peace and tranquillity and a patio where guests can go to enjoy a drink and watch the sun set after a busy day exploring this wonderful island. Follow the nearby Mills Trail to Wales's only working windmill, with an excellent tea room, or why not enjoy scenic walks, wonderful sandy beaches, cycling, fishing, watersports, golf, Beaumaris and its castle, and the beautiful bays at Trearddur and Cemaes? This Llanddeusant cottage is perfect for a family looking for a countryside retreat, yet within easy reach of a beautiful sandy beach.

Close to the stunning north west coastline of Anglesey, the small Welsh village of Llanddeusant is set amidst spectacular cliffs and golden, sandy beaches. As the location of the only remaining working windmill in Wales, visitors can enjoy seeing corn being ground the old fashioned way, followed by refreshments in the mill's excellent tea-room. This charming village is a great base for people looking to explore the island due to its central location. Fishing, bird-watching, golf, climbing and water-sport opportunities are all within easy driving distance of this diverse little settlement, whilst those interested in seeing Ireland can enjoy a brief ferry ride to Dublin. Anglesey Sea Zoo, the historic town of Beaumaris and the Menai Strait are all close by and offer visitors with a wide range of activities unique to this glorious area.

Fantastic table tennis. Unfortunately, nothing to stop dogs or children from straying on to road. A dearth of hooks in kitchen, hall and bathrooms (where everything ended up on the floor) and a shelf in bathroom needed. Mirror and toothbrush charger in upper L side bedroom too high and inaccessible. Additional blankets would be handy for cold nights. Radiators didn’t warm up in R sided downstairs bedroom and also in small snug so these rooms never got warm. No welcome pack which, as no local shop available, would have been useful on arrival.

From the moment we arrived, the setting stood out — peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and perfect for switching off from daily life. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, making it feel both comfortable and welcoming. The interior was warm and cosy, with everything we needed for a short stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the living area was ideal for relaxing in the evenings. We especially appreciated the little touches that made the stay feel homely rather than just a place to sleep. Overall, our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and stress‑free. It’s a great option for families, couples or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Wales. We left feeling refreshed and would happily return in the future.

The bedrooms were a good size but lacked enough storage. A wardrobe and dressing table would be good in every room. The property was advertised with two king size beds, but all three double rooms had the same size bed and they didn't feel like king size. Most properties I have been to leave a welcome supply, usually local produce plus milk, bread and butter. There were no supplies left...perhaps for future holidaymakers ? These comments might sound as though we weren't happy with yhe property, but far from it, we had a great time and the property had virtually everything we needed. We didn't get the chance to enjoy the bifolding doors and garden space (October time), which would be fantastic in the summer.
