About this property

Malltraeth 1.2 miles. A fabulous, cream rendered, detached cottage, next to the owners' farmhouse but in its own private space and just over a mile from the village of Malltraeth, on the lovely Isle of Anglesey. Ideal for families, this superb, well-equipped cottage, once the original farmhouse, is tastefully furnished and decorated. This cottage boasts a bright and spacious open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and a cosy and comfortable sitting area with beams, a woodburner and wonderful country views, including magnificent views of the Snowdonia mountain range. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom, whilst upstairs are two bedrooms, and on the large landing is a single sofa bed and a TV. Outside is a large, private patio with a lawned area in front, from where you can admire the distant sea views across unspoilt countryside, whilst providing the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Malltraeth offers excellent amenities, including two pubs and a fish and chip shop/general store, and there is easy access to Newborough with its red squirrel sanctuary. Nearby the village of Rhosneigr is the renowned Oyster Catcher restaurant where you can enjoy a taste of the sea. Malltraeth beach and estuary can be reached along the Anglesey cycle way, and can be seen from the house. Guests can also visit Holyhead Harbour, Anglesey Sea Zoo and South Stack Cliffs RSPB Reserve, all providing great days out for all. It will come as no surprise to learn that the royal couple, William and Kate chose to live nearby, enjoying the same outlook as Ffermdy Bach. This holiday home on Anglesey is a wonderful base for everyone in your party.

The small village of Malltraeth is situated in the south west corner of Anglesey, close to Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. The area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are a number of forest and coastal walks from the village, which has two pubs and a chip shop that sells selling basic items/newspapers.
