About this property

This cottage sits in the small seaside town of Amlwch, on the scenic Isle of Anglesey. Affording views of the harbour and quality furnishings throughout, 13 Quay Street provides a splendid base for a family of eight seeking a base in the north eastern coast of Anglesey. Step inside and discover the first of the bedrooms on the ground-floor, including two doubles, both with contemporary en-suite shower rooms and wardrobe space. Head upstairs and discover the master super-king-size with a further en-suite shower room, whilst there is also a charming twin room which is ideal for children. Continue into the striking open-plan living area, where you’ll immediately be drawn to the sea and harbour views. Dust off those cooking boots and relish in some home-cooking in the kitchen, featuring a double oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine cooler and even a dishwasher, so there’s everything you could possibly need! Serve up the fruits of your labour at the dining table before getting the woodburner going and relaxing on the corner sofa. In the summer, open the Juliet doors to bring the outside in, providing an outlook to the coast. Completing the interior is the family bathroom, complete with bath and shower over so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. From the door you can find many walks and cycle rides taking you through beautiful countryside and the Anglesey Coastal Path provides luscious views, opening up miles of cliff-top walks and secret coves and beaches, such as the sheltered cove at Traeth Dynion. On your return, pop into Finney’s Port Chippy for a portion of fish and chips or visit the Adelphi Vaults for a refreshing pint. Learn about the history of Amlwch and its copper mining tradition at the Copper Kingdom Museum or visit the Old Mine Works at Mynydd Parys, and see the red, yellow and purple rocks, which some say resemble the surface of the Moon. Those avid golfers can tee off at the Bull Bay Golf Club whilst there’s plenty of fishing opportunities along the port. Offering something for everyone, a holiday at 13 Quay Street is sure to bring fond memories.

On the northeastern tip of the island of Anglesey, in a lovely coastal setting, is the small beach community of Amlwch. The community, which formerly hosted prosperous mining operations, today hosts a variety of events and attractions, making it the perfect destination for a family vacation. Visit the Old Mine Works at Mynydd Parys to see the red, yellow, and purple rocks, which some people have compared to the Moon's surface, or learn about the history of Amlwch and its copper mining tradition on the Heritage Copper Trail, a section of the lovely 125-mile coastal path that winds its way along the coast of Anglesey. Golf enthusiasts can play at the Bull Bay Golf Club nearby, and sea fishing is a particularly well-liked past time in Amlwch. Take a ferry to Dublin and spend the day experiencing Irish culture or stay on Anglesey and take advantage of one of the island's stunning beaches. Whatever your inclination, you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself in this magnificent beach setting.

The property had large open plan living/kitchen/dining area on the first floor with great view over the port. Master bedroom with ensuite and children's single bedroom also on the first floor with a shared bathroom. further 2 large bedrooms on the ground floor both with ensuites. The property was well equipped with everything you would need. One thing I would recommend is adding a stair gate as there is no door from the living space through to the stairs meaning I had to chase my crawling one year old around. A washing machine in the property would have also been useful especially for week long stays. There are two pubs and a chippy on the same street which we made use off and were very accommodating. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this property. Thank you for a great stay bringing in the New Year :)

Beautifully furnished throughout . Bathroom and en suites are lovely. My only criticism the en suites are in need of ventilation resulting in the bedroom getting damp after showering.
