Failte gu Taigh na Beadan is Gaelic for “Welcome to the Big Mans House”. Wake up to a picture postcard view form the sunroom, step outside and smell the clean fresh air of the Island and the sea, listen to the birdsong, the bleating sheep and look out for the seals in the loch. There is something for all the family, fishing, kayaking or paddleboarding on the loch whilst others watch form the comfort of the cottage!
A short drive will take you to a number of lovely beaches the Islands have to offer, chat to the fishermen at the harbours and get some freshly caught seafood for dinner. At night you can put the fire on and plan for the next day. There is plenty room for four adults or a family of six (with two young children to share the twin bedroom) and not forgetting the dog! You will find a special place in your heart for the Outer Hebrides & this is why people return. Beach 5 miles.

The photos of the interior of this property on the website are deceiving. There is no doubt that this property is in a fabulous location with stunning views, however, unfortunately the interior of the house is in desperate need of tlc.Broken basin pedestal in bathroom Disgustingly stained kitchen chairs Shower broken Bins full on arrival Broken tiles on kitchen floorDoor threshold taped down with sticky tapePAT testing appears 2 years out of date? Poor lighting A little bit of investment in the maintenance of this property along with a few inexpensive homely touches would make an enormous difference.

The View from the property was amazing that was the huge plus side but unfortunately the cleaning was terrible. the property felt it hadn’t been loved and taken care of for a while we started to read the recent reviews completed and these problems had been reported for the last few months. The owner David was polite and understandable of our issues but unfortunately, they were not quick fixes that could be resolved very quickly. We shared photos of the problems that we were facing with the cleanliness of the place, so the cleaner could address these for the future. The garden was over grown with weeds through the decking and the kitchen utensils were not adequate … lots of opportunities for improvement!

We had a lovely stay here. The views out across the bay were wonderful, and the nearby beaches were breathtaking. The nearby community shop and cafe were a good walk away and great places to visit during the day. We needed our car to get the most out of our holiday.
