A traditional cottage full of character and quirkiness, but with all the amenities required for self catering. A little cold in the evening, but this was rectified by the wood burner and or the electric heaters. A brilliant shower, plenty of hot water. There is no shop in the village so you do need transport to go to Killin for provisions. However, there is a pub within 5 minutes walk if you want to eat out. We had a fantastic week in Lochearnhead, outdoor activities everyday, mainly Munro bashing and cycling. Excellent.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst cottaged in which we have stayed . It was damp and smelled musty when we arrived. It was cold - we needed the heating on morning and evening (this was in June!). Having said that, there was plenty hot water on tap for a good bath .Having stayed in some excellent dog friendly cottages, I would define this as "dog tolerant". We paid a £120 supplement for our dogs and I have no idea what we got for our money, there wasn't even a water bowl provided (given the previous cottage we rented provided beds, toys, treats and poop bags) The instruction in the cottage handbook was to remove all traces of dog hairs before leaving. We did clean around before we left, removing dust and cobwebs that, I would suggest, had been there for many weeks before our stay. The furniture was "tired" and I would suggest the suite is in need of replacement.

Wonderful place to stay- so much to do and easily accommodates 6.Recommend bringing a good amount of wood if coming in winter- cosy with burner chilly/ expensive without. Will return. Thanks
