About this Holiday Cottage

Ideal for relaxing family holidays, The Wing is a fantastic self catering property which is held in very high regard. The accommodation has been awarded a 3 Star rating by Visit Scotland, testament to its superb facilities, beautiful furnishings and its gorgeous surroundings. Unwind at your own pace in the comfortable living areas, or enjoy the tranquility of the spacious garden. Families are also very welcome and there is a large play area for children exclusive to the cottages, set a short walk away.

Inside

The main living room features a multi fuel stove, creating a warm and welcoming ambience, and the entertainment provision is of a good standard, with a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is also a second living space, making The Wing suitable for two small families or a family with teenage children. 

The property has plenty of traditional charm and character, with features including pine window panelling and working shutters. The galley kitchen is well appointed with a range of facilities such as a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. There is a dining table for up to six people.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Upstairs, you'll find a well furnished double bedroom, a bedroom with adult bunks and there's a third bedroom with a double bed.  This room can also be used as an attractive second living room. The bathroom features a power shower over bath. All rooms have delightful views over the surrounding gardens. 

Outside

The attractive garden offers plenty of space for family games and there is parking situated about 50 paces away.

The new play area can be found in the woods just behind the Wing garden and has a play-fort, swings, trapeze bar and rings, balancing logs, a sand pit and see-saw.

Other Things to Note

The property has been awarded a Gold Green Tourism award. The rental price includes bed linen, towels, unlimited Wi-Fi and we also provide some old towels for drying off your dog. Cots, high chairs and travel cots can be supplied on request.

Other amenities provided include a hair dryer, iron and board, landline phone, first aid kit, sewing kit, shoe cleaning equipment, basic cleaning products (except washing powder) and a torch.

Availability

Short breaks of three or four nights may be available. The preferred weekly changeover day is Saturday.  Well behaved dogs are accepted by arrangement at an extra charge of £20 each per stay.  Please visit the owner's website for up-to-date availability.

Fuel and Electricity are payable at the end of stay, at cost per usage

Around and About

The attractions of Edinburgh city centre can be found just a half hour drive away and there are plenty of opportunities for walking, golf and fishing in the surrounding area. There is also a vast choice of historic houses to visit or head to Livingston's large retail outlet which is eight miles away.
