Excellent position near the centre of this relatively quiet town centre with good local amenities. Very minor, easily soluble issues with the flat - some ceiling lights out in the main sitting room, no bedside table etc in the second bedroom. Easy contact with the responsive owner via WhatsApp. Would stay again if going to another concert in Glasgow - pity the last train back to Lsnark only leaves Glasgow at 10.20pm so we did have to drive - not the easiest on a Friday evening. The Crown Inn was an understandably busy but excellent base for reasonably-priced evening meals.

Excellent accommodation. Located in a quiet street, with plenty of free parking. It’s a 5 minute walk to a small high street, 10 to the train station and surrounded by historic sites and walks. I would stay again and highly recommend to others.

This is the second consecutive year my sisters and I have stayed at Castlegate. We are originally from Lanarkshire ,but left the area many years ago.Now we visit Scotland annually to catch up with relatives and re-connect with our roots. The flat is perfect in terms of location, amenities and transport links. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and stylish.Centrally located in Lanark ,it's near restaurants and supermarkets. Kirsty is a hospitable and flexible host whose communication is excellent. We unreservedly recommend 18, Castlegate for a relaxing break.
