The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. The Estate grounds were exceptional. Can't wait to come back!!! Way beyond what we expected. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!!

Quiet and peaceful. Lovely to wander round the grounds with the dogs especially the feeling after the garden is closed and you have the whole place to yourself to wander around. The garden is secure. Lots to do in the area if your active and lots not do if you just want to chill. Lovely walks along the Tweed. If like us you have a dog that can’t be let of the lead there’s a brilliant secure 10 acre field in Earlston called Brambles field. It’s a good 45 mins drive but worth it and the scenery is fantastic on the way there.

However, the seating in the main room was very uncomfortable, very new and not keeping with an old cottage. The photos on the Sykes site it was different and very in keeping and looked very cosy and comfortable. It seems like a very trivial thing to mention but it makes a real difference when you already struggle with muscle problems. The only comfortable seating was on the beds or the window seat in the kitchen. Everything else was lovely, including the little touches like a food hamper which we really appreciated.
